The recent election has been called "transformational." It is commonplace to use such a term when referring to the presidencies of Jackson, the Roosevelts, Kennedy, and Reagan. The moment of their election is remembered for the promise of new vistas combined with necessity for change.

Protestants for the Common Good exists to transform our society with a vision of the inclusive common good. The election just completed gives new impetus to that aim. The question now is how do we sustain the momentum so many of us sense and carry it into the future?
